This Wednesday and Thursday, we were excited to welcome students from Irembezi Primary School and Bushenyi Municipal Primary School to Rukararwe.
Rukararwe has made it their mission to raise environmental awareness and teach the importance of preserving the environment and indigenous trees. This is why we invite young people like students from surrounding schools to visit our NGO and learn about our work.

During their visit, the students toured our tree nursery and the forest we’ve planted, learning about the vital role trees play in the environment and discovering the medicinal benefits of our healing plants. Our staff taught them about the various plants that grow in Rukararwe.

In addition to that they also had the chance to acquire new skills by taking part in our baking workshop. The students had a lot of fun baking their first cookies together.

Finally the students enjoyed a hearty lunch with us and spend the rest of their time in Rukararwe playing and dancing together.
This school trip was not just very educational and important but also a fun experience for everyone. We are always happy to welcome young learners and anyone else interested in environmental education or simply looking for a pleasant time here at Rukararwe.
