In the Christmas Holidays 2012,Rukararwe PWRD arranged a small youth festival to attract youth of the surrounding villages to come to Rukararwe and become part of the project.

The aim of these youth projects is offering the youths interesting activities for their free time and giving them a sense of group identity as well as inspiring them to unfold their creativity capabilities in realizing their own ideas. These Rukararwe youth grow up knowing about the different projects of Rukararwe and the use of environmental protection and sustainable development. The Youth Festival was a time to share and unwind together

Since then young people come to Rukararwe  in their free time to be involved in different activities.

  • Netball
